Black Point, one of the oldest mansions on Geneva Lake, was built in 1888 as a summer home for its owner, Conrad Seipp, and his large family. The stately home includes 13 bedrooms and a four-story tower that can be seen from many points on the lake. Built in 1887, the Black Point Estate Mansion now stands as what State Historical Society of Wisconsin architectural historian Patricia Butler calls “perhaps the finest example of Queen Anne design remaining as a lakeshore estate in the Lake Geneva area.”

As a hobby the Seipp family collected evergreens, and those evergreens can still be seen today.
Until Prohibition in the 1920s, the Seipp family owned a successful brewery in Chicago. Remnants of the family business can still be seen today.
